Mintimer Shaimiev meets foreign journalists
On October 4, State Counsellor of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Revival regional foundation Mintimer Shaimiev met representatives of foreign mass media agencies accredited at the Russian Ministry of foreign affairs, who are taking part in a study trip to the republic on October 2-4. The trip is organized by the regional press and mass communications “Tatmedia” by the request of foreign mass media agencies.
The correspondent of Cope radio (Spain) Ricardo Marquina Montañana, correspondent of Al Mayadeen Salem Abdel Munem (the Lebanese Republic), correspondent of Xinhua Lu Jinbo (People’s Republic of China), correspondent of newspaper Tokyo Shimbun Akira Kurita (Japan), correspondent of newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung Ivo Mijnssen (Switzerland), correspondents of “Radio Sweden” Lena-Maria Persson and Nikolay Golovin (Sweden) arrived in Kazan on October 2.
On October 2, the guests visited the training site of Rubin football club, Kazan-Arena stadium, the Kazan Kremlin, attended the awarding ceremony of the contest “Multifaceted Russia”, visited Kazanorgsintez, the House of people’s friendship, Tatar-inform information agency, the ancient town of Bolgar and ancient town of Sviyazhsk.
Mintimer Shaimiev thanked journalists for the interest in the republic.
