On February 20, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, members of the regional Government and invited guests took part in the 35th meeting of Tatarstan State Council of the fifth convocation.
Before discussing the agenda, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin outlined the main tasks of the parliament to be addressed during the spring session that opened today.
Then, the members of the local Council approved the candidacy of Leila Fazleeva for the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, and also voted for early termination of the powers of State Council member Marat Sadykov.
Minister of Internal Affairs of the republic Artem Khokhorin made a detailed report on the police activities in 2017.
The people’s deputies passed bills to approve addenda to the agreements on granting budgetary credits from the federal budget to the local budget, to make amendments to articles 18 and 20 of the regional law on motorways and road activities, and considered two draft laws providing for amendments to the regional bill on the local self-government in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights for the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Timur Nagumanov and Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Saria Saburskaya also made reports on their work in 2017.
The State Council appealed to Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev to look into the situation in the dairy market. The relevant document was adopted at today’s meeting.
