Mintimer Shaimiev takes part in the meeting of the regional State Council

On June 21, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, members of the Government and guests took part in the 39th meeting of the regional State Council of the fifth convocation. 

The agenda of the meeting held by Deputy Chairman of the regional State Council Yury Kamatlynov included 31 issues, in particular 15 regional draft laws, 8 federal draft laws and a legislative initiative of the Republic of Karelia.

The people’s deputies approved a suggestion put forward by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to reorganize Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport of the republic into Ministry of Youth Affairs and Ministry of Sport.

The meeting also considered two draft laws on making amendments to the regional budget and the budget of the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund for 2018. Both bills were adopted in the final reading. In general, bills on the regulation of certain issues in the field of volunteering activities and on amending certain legislative acts of the republic, on amending Articles 6 and 14 of the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan on Physical Culture and Sport were passed today. The people’s deputies also adopted a regional bill on introducing amendments to the regional Law on the state civil service and the Code of the republic on the municipal service. The document is aimed at bringing it in line with the federal legislation.

Before the end of the 39th meeting, Kamaltynov summed up the results of work of the regional parliament in the first half of the year.

This meeting was the final one in the spring session, following which the parliamentary recess was announced.
