Members of Tatarstan Parliament unanimously vote for approving State anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan

On February 21, at the 38th session of Tatarstan State Council members of the Parliament approved the bill “Concerning the introduction of amendments to Law of the Republic of Tatarstan “On state symbols of the Republic of Tatarstan” in terms of approving the text of State anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Before the session, musical and poetic composition had been performed by the State symphonic orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan and the choir of Musa Dzhalil Tatar State academic opera and ballet theatre at S.Saidashev big state concert hall.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov participated in the event.

Farid Mukhametshin said that for the first time the bill was presented to deputies for consideration by State Council Presidium.

Head of the contest commission for the best text of State anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Chairman of State Council Rimma Ratnikova made keynote report on the discussed issue. She noted that it was a really nationwide contest, since variants had been received from different corners of republic and from outside. She thanked all authors who had sent their proposals and experts who had worked on the text.

Deputies unanimously voted for approval of the bill “Concerning the Introduction of Amendments to Law of the Republic of Tatarstan “On state symbols of the Republic of Tatarstan”.
