Gabdulla Tukai State Prizes were presented to cultural figures by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on August 30. Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev attended the event.
The awards ceremony was held before the Galiasgar Kamal Tatar Drama Theater as amid celebrations of the Day of the Republic.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Tatarstan President reminded that the Gabdulla Tukai State Prize was established in 1958 as one of the republic’s most honorable awards.
The prize laureates deserve their awards, Rustam Minnikhanov said and wished everybody further success in their creative undertakings.
Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Cuklture Zilya Valeyeva, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials attended the event.
