Memorandum signed on the banking group ZENITH participation in restoration of historical and cultural monuments the ancient town of Bolgar and the island town of Sviyazhsk

On July 7 in Yelabuga, the State Counsellor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and the Head of the Director Board of OJSC Bank Zenith Aleksey Sokolov signed the Memorandum on the banking group ZENITH participation in restoration of historical and cultural monuments the ancient town of Bolgar and the island town of Sviyazhsk in the Republic of Tatarstan.

"Paying tribute of deep respect to careful preservation of historical memory in the Republic of Tatarstan, and in reply to the appeal of the First President of the Republic of Tatarstan, State Counsellor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, the banking group ZENITH extends its consent for participation in the realization of the socially significant project on restoration of historical and cultural monuments the ancient town of Bolgar and the island town of Sviyazhsk in the Republic of Tatarstan ", the Memorandum states.

The banking group ZENITH assumes responsibility to finance the restoration works and maintain two historical objects in due condition during 2010-2013, namely, Minor minaret in the ancient town of Bolgar and Sergiy Church in the island town of Sviyazhsk. According to the Memorandum, the banking group ZENITH reserves the right to select project organizations and contractors, arrange the necessary works, including the supply of materials and equipment.

The parties agreed to assign to the Republican Fund for restoration of historical and cultural monuments in the Republic of Tatarstan and the banking group ZENITH to work out the plan and schedule of undertaking the restoration works at the two historical objects.

The coordination of works on implementing the Memorandum on the part of the banking group ZENITH is realized by the Head of the Director Board Aleksey Sokolov. State Counsellor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, with the approval of President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, will provide assistance in solving problems while implementing the Memorandum.
