On July 6, State Counsellor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev visited the Natural History Museum of Tatarstan located on the grounds of the Historic and Architectural Complex of the Kazan Kremlin. He took a great interest in the exhibition "Ancient Sea by the Hand of a Master". The Head of the Museum Farida Batyrova described the unique exhibits in detail-ammoniate shellfish which during the Jurassic period inhabited the Russian Sea situated then in the territory of Ulyanovsk oblast. All exhibits were granted by A.M. Natarius, an Ulyanovsk resident, from his private collection.

After that Mintimer Shaimiev looked into the chamber with original items of stone presented to him some time ago: a chess set made of precious stones, board games, carved ivory figures, pictures, jewelry of precious and ornamental stone. The exhibition is dedicated to ornamental stone in decorative art.

Mintimer Shaimiev, having examined all the chambers of the Natural History Museum and talked to the visitors, remarked that this Museum, visited by more than 85,000 people for less than two years of its functioning, is a good example allowing to be sure that the Historic and Architectural Complex of the Kazan Kremlin started to function to the full extent.
