Mintimer Shaimiev in Top-10 most efficient governors in late 2009–early 2010

The International Institute of Political Expertise has unveiled the results of the research dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the system of appointing the Russian Federation regions governors.

The experts who took part in the survey were divided into two groups – “independent” (journalists, political analysts) and those who are “close to authorities” (former governors, the State Duma and the Federation Council members). Each group was given a list of questions with a 10-point assessment system. The survey was conducted from December 2009 to March 2010.

Due to the conclusion of the experts, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev has been included in the Top-10 most efficient governors in late 2009-early 2010. Other officials on the list are the following: A. Artamonov (Kaluga Region); R. Kadyrov (the Republic of Chechnya); V. Kress (Tomsk Region); Y. Luzhkov (Moscow); Y. Savchenko (Belgorod Region); A. Tkachov (Krasnodarsk Territory); A. Khloponin (Krasnoyarsk Territory); O. Chirkunov (Perm Territory); V. Shantsev (Nizhegorod Region).
