Working group in charge of the development of the complex state programme of the educational system development in Tatarstan gathers at the Kazan Kremlin

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting of the working group responsible for the development of the state programme of the educational system development in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2010-2015 at the Kazan Kremlin on March 16.

In early 2009, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev instructed to develop the complex programme of the educational system development in the republic. The commission to develop and implement the programme was created on the order of the RT President on 14 July 2009 and they gathered for the first meeting on 14 July 2009. In February 2010, Russian President Dmitri Medvedev instructed the regions of the federation to develop regional plans of modernization of general education in 2010-2015 in the framework of implementation of the national educational initiative of Our new school.

In this regard, Mintimer Shaimiev noted that today the reform of the educational system is running all over the country and the decision to start working on the concept of the reform of the republic’s educational system was correct and timely.

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration Yuri Kamaltynov, Minister of Education and Science Albert Glmutdinov, Minister of Finances Radik Gaizatullin, Chairman of the RT State Council Committee on culture, science, education and national issues Razil Valeyev, President of the RT Academy of Sciences Akhmet Mazgarov, Rector of Kazan State University, Chairman of the University Rectors Council Myakzyum Salakhov and others took part in the meeting.
