Mintimer Shaimiev visits Sviyazhsk

March 4, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev was on a visit to the island city of Sviyazhsk, the Zelenodolsk Municipal District, Tatarstan.

Among the persons accompanying the President were Yuri Kamaltynov, the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration, Zilya Valeyeva, the RT Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture, Zyavdat Salikhov, the Chief Executive Officer of the RT President, Tatyana Larionova, the State Advisor to the RT President on social issues, Elena Patkina, the Head of the Territorial Board of the Federal Agency for state property management in the RT, Radik Khasanov, the Head of the Zelenodolsk Municipal District of Tatarstan, Archbishop of Kazan and Tatarstan Anastasy, Father Superior Vsevolod of the Raifa Monastery, Father Superior Siluan of the Dormition Monastery of Sviyzshsk, etc.

Mintimer Shaimiev saw the sights and met with members of the initiative group restoring the island city of Sviayzhsk.

Vladimir Putin congratulates Mintimer Shaimiev with his birthday

On 20 January in the evening Russian President Vladimir Putin called Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and congratulated him with his birthday. During the conversation Vladimir Putin stated that he is happy to hear bright voice of Mintimer (Sharipovich) and wished him good health and all the best.

On January 20, the First President of Tatarstan, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev celebrates its 89 birthday. He received numerous congratulations from the state and regional leaders, public figures, figures in science, education and culture and residents of the country and Tatarstan.

Mintimer Shaimiev meets Mikhail Piotrovsky

On 16 October in the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaymiev, who is also the Chairman of the Trustees Council of the regional Revival Fund, had a meeting with the Director General of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky, who came to Kazan to take part in a ceremony of opening a new exposition “The Yusupovs. Luxury across the Centuries” at the Hermitage Kazan Exposition Center and which has been prepared especially for the 20th anniversary of the Hermitage’s first representational centre established in 2005 by celebrations of the Kazan Millennium.
