Vladimir Putin visited KAMAZ-master motor sports center

February 11, Chairman of the Russian Federation Government Vladimir Putin visited KAMAZ-Master motor-sports center, met with the sports team members.

On the same day, set of agreements on supplying JSC "KAMAZ" products to Federal penitentiary service, Russian Ministries for emergency management, defense, internal affairs and JSC "State transport leasing company" was signed in presence of the Russian Prime-Minister Vladimir Putin and Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev. On the part of automaker, the agreements were signed by JSC "KAMAZ" Director-General Mr. Sergey Kogogin.

The total amount of all signed contracts reached 10 billion roubles.

The chairman of Russian Government Vladimir Putin noted that help will be extended not only to "KAMAZ", but all Russian automakers, including "VAZ" and "GAZ". Talking about the automaker on the banks of Kama, V.Putin mentioned the possibility of the State strengthening its positions at "KAMAZ" by purchasing its shares via JSC "Rostekhnologii" state corporation.

The Prime-Minister of Russia expressed his certitude that "KAMAZ" overcome difficult times related to financial crisis and will strengthen own positions on international market.

The President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev is certain that decisions made by the Russian Government allowed Naberezhnyje Chelny to go through crisis with little loss. He stated this at the meeting with RF Prime-Minister Vladimir Putin.

"Thank you for taking very important decisions in this year of crisis. Crisis-related losses in Naberezhnyje Chelny were smaller", - addressed Mintimer Shaimiev the head of the Government of Russia. - This is very important. What would happen with the population of the city if not for decisions you have made regarding our republic?"

In his turn, Vladimir Putin requested Mintimer Shaimiev to support new projects, the agreements on which were signed in Naberezhnyje Chelny. "The support of the republic's leadership will be very important for implementation of these projects. I count on both the Government and the Presidential Administration to concentrate their attention on the issue. Administrative support measures are necessary", - believes V.Putin.

"This is not only a joint business of ours - these projects are vitally important for Naberezhnyje Chelny", - agreed the head of Tatarstan. - People had hopes when moving here from all over the country, and now second and third generations have grown. This is truly the city of machine-makers.
