In August 2010, Kazan is likely to host a large-scale tennis tournament on the basis of the Tennis Academy. Russia’s Tennis Federation Vice-President Vladimir Lazarev informed about on Sunday. He is visiting Tatarstan capital as part of Kazan Kremlin Cup men’s tournament in ATP “Challenger” classification.

“We have held a meeting with the republican tennis federation authorities in Kazan where we discussed plans for this year and the future. Most likely, we will hold a women’s tournament with the prize fund of 75 thousand dollars here. That will be the start of organization measures for the Universaide-2013 preparation,” the tournament’s press-service quotes Lazarev as saying. “We expect these two tournaments to become a tradition.”
