Tatarstan-Finland Business Forum has opened in Kazan

The opening ceremony of the Tatarstan-Finland Business Forum was held in the Mirage Hotel on February 3.

The Finnish delegation led by Paavo Väyrynen, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development, includes officials of ministries and agencies as well as CEOs of Finnish companies.

Greeting the Finnish delegation on behalf of the RT Government, RT First Deputy Prime Minister Boris Pavlov said that the Business Forum was a logical result of fruitful cooperation between Tatarstan and Finland.

As long-term directions for cooperation development, Boris Pavlov mentioned innovation projects that are to get all-sided support of the RT Government. Tatarstan with its SEZ Alabuga and Technopolis boasts favourable environment for innovations.

Paavo Väyrynen declared it was a big honour for him to open the Tatarstan-Finland Busines Forum. “For the first time I visited Kazan in 2007 for the meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and had very good impressions.”
