Roustam Minnikhanov hosts meeting on Khimgrad development

The Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roustam Minnikhanov has chaired a meeting on issues related to the development of the Khimgrad technopolis at the Tatarstan House of Government.

Attendees at the meeting were the First Deputy Prime Minister Ravil Muratov, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Marat Khousnoullin, head of the Committee on Small and Medium Business Timur Shagivaleyev and head of Committee on Tariffs Marina Farukshina.

The Idea Capital management company general director Albert Karimov said new residents continued to arrive in the technopolis and a chain of negotiations with international companies was underway.

Albert Karimov said an increase in energy capacity would soon be required in the Khimgrad technopolis, for both the technopolis itself and to expand the operating production facilities. In particular, the Danaflex company, a resident at Khimgrad, has announced it will require more energy in 2010.

The meeting went on to discuss provision of technological connection to energy systems by instalment on industrial sites that have surplus unused capacity. The Prime Minister instructed the Committee on Small and Medium Business and Committee on Tariffs to devise a project on technological connection for entrepreneurs.

A report on developing the Synergy industrial park on component production was delivered for the prime minister. The park is located in the Alabuga special economic zone. The industrial park project is aimed to develop the auto component production branch and to increase the special economic zone’s appeal for small and medium businesses.
