Tatneft completes main pipeline to Taneko

JSC Tatneft has completed the construction and water tests of a 118-kilometre-long main pipeline. It links the Kaleikino pump station in Almetievsk region, part of the Transneft system, and the Taneko refining and petrochemical compound under construction.

The pipeline is routed across the Almetievsk, Sarmanov, Zainsk, Tukai and Nizhnekamsk districts. An underwater line across the Stepnoi Zai river has been built. The pipe is 720 mm in diameter. This is enough to later increase the pumped volume from 7 to 14 million tonnes a year.

The construction of overground facilities at the pipeline’s terminal points continues. The Kaleikino station is planned to be expanded through building a new 50-thousand cubic metre oil collection reservoir from JSC Tatneft and two oil pumping stations, one trunk and one auxiliary, as well as through construction of a crude oil delivery and acceptance point in Nizhnekamsk.

JSC AK Transneft is the construction customer that appointed Tatneft as the performer. The general contractor is the Glavneftegazstroisevis management company.

The contract, signed in May this year, is being implemented as scheduled, says Taneft’s press service. To complete the task, a large workforce and substantial funds have been involved, newest technologies and state-of-the-art assembly methods are being applied.
