8 December 2009, Tuesday
About 30 applications from Tatarstan-based enterprises and associations are at various stages of examination at the Rosnano state corporation that implements projects involving nano technologies.
The Rosnano Department of Liaison with Federal and Regional Authorities head Dmitry Krinitsky has today said it in a statement to journalists, following the opening of the first specialised international exhibition Nano Technologies. Kazan 2009.
According to him, the corporation is reviewing all the Tatarstan-submitted projects. “There is a certain procedure all projects have to be put through. I cannot specify particular stages for particular projects right now. About 12 projects from Tatarstan are at a near-completion stage,” said Dmitry Krinitsky.
The Kazan-based company Danaflex is the only one whose application has been approved by the Rosnano state corporation. The total cost of the project is 2.5 million roubles. The state corporation has allocated over 1 billion roubles for the Tatarstan-based firm. “One more project from Tatarstan is being finalised. I am talking about a petrochemistry project,” said the official. The Rosnano Department of External Communication group of regional and special projects head Boris Galkin has today told Tatar-inform the project had been examined by the advisory board and by technical experts and was being reviewed for innovativeness.
Dmitry Krinitsky went on to note the examination procedure was quite lengthy. “It includes a scientific and technical review and an investment review. After that, projects are submitted to the science and engineering research council, where the nation’s leading researchers assess their scientific substantiality. After that, the project is forwarded to the corporation’s advisory board, where a decision on the project’s funding is made. Spending state money requires special attention, care and precision,” he said.
According to Krinistky, project’s long-range implications are assessed based on their research and investment potential. “The enterprises and associations from Tatarstan display a distinction of being systemic and goal oriented. Applicants from Tatarstan are processed quite rapidly and efficiently. It is pure pleasure working with enterprises from Tatarstan. The work’s fast pace is accounted for the involvement of the government of Tatarstan. I hope our cooperation will continue to be fast-paced,” he enhanced.
