First lot of anti-flu vaccine delivered to Kazan

The first lot of the Pandeflu vaccine, to prevent swine flu, in the amount of 95,800 doses, manufactured by the Mikrogen research and production association, has been delivered to Tatarstan. The vaccine was delivered from Ufa, Tattekhmedfarm told Tatar-inform.

“Today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow it will be delivered to the medical institutions of the city and of the republic. From Monday, vaccination will be done. The first to be vaccinated will be employees at healthcare, social, educational institutions, including kindergartens, schools, orphanages and higher educational establishments, as well as senior-year students at Kazan Medical University. The vaccine is inactivated and is designed for adult population. Vaccination is free,” added the Tatarstan Health Ministry chief epidemiologist Roza Dolgova.

The next batch of the Mono Grippol Neo and Mono Grippol Plus vaccines, manufactured by FK Petrovaks in the amount of 213,200 doses will in the short term be delivered from Saint-Petersburg to Tatarstan. It will be used on 10-11-grade school students, including at orphanages and boarding schools.
