Mintimer Shaimiev takes part in session of Tatarstan State Council

On March 20 Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the 49th session of Tatarstan State Council. Deputies considered proposals of Tatarstan President on structural changes in regional government presented by Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov.

Members of the Parliament approved the proposals on restructuring of the Department of State Purchases to State Committee for Purchases, the Tourism Agency to State Committee for Tourism, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport.

The bill “On the introduction of amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan “On budget of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014 and planned period of 2015 and 2016”, presented by the Minister of Finance Radik Gaizatullin, was discussed at the session.

Members of the Parliament supported the bill on providing equal conditions of social support measures to persons presented with state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The bill “Concerning the Annulment of the 14th Article of the law “On state support of housing construction in RT”, presented by the Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Municipal Economy Irek Faizullin, was criticized and widely discussed at the session.

The bill “On the introduction of amendments to Elections Code of the Republic of Tatarstan and certain legislative acts of the Republic of Tatarstan on referendums” was backed by members of the Parliament.

The bill “On the introduction of amendments to the law “On executive authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan”, and the bill “On the introduction of amendments to the 5th article of the law “On the order of publication and entry into force of laws and other normative legal acts of the Republic of Tatarstan concerning the protection of human rights and freedoms” were accepted.
