Concept of the exposition dedicated to Turkic-Tatar writing system approved

On March 2, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of guardians of “Revival” Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting on creating the exposition dedicated to the history of Turkic-Tatar writing system at the Museum of Bolgar civilization. The project of the exposition and square that will be created within the framework of the Year of parks and squares in Tatarstan was presented to participants of the meeting.

Mintimer Shaimiev noted that it was the third meeting dedicated to this issue.

The project was presented by Director of the Institute of archeology named after A.Kh.Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Airat Sitdikov. He told that the idea concerning the creation of the Museum of writing system in Bolgar belongs to Director of the Institute of history named after Sh.Mardzhani Rafael Khakimov. According to Sitdikov, a big team of sculptors, scientists, historians, and designers worked on the project.

It is planned that the exposition will be located not far from the River station. It will have square footing and five steps reflecting different periods of Turkic-Tatar writing system.

Director of OOO “PSK “Atrium” Gulnara Mustafina presented the project of the square. She told that alleys with names of poets, scientists and writers will be open in the ancient town of Bolgar.

Summing up, Shaimiev asked to finish the project of the square and start working on the exposition at the Museum of Bolgar civilization.

After the discussion the concept of the exposition was approved.

Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan State Council, CEO of the Regional Foundation “Revival” Tatyana Larionova, Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, deputy of Tatarstan State Council, Director General of OOO “Alekseevskdorstroi” Foat Valiev, Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan State Committee on Tourism Ekaterina Barabanova took part in the event.
