Mintimer Shaimiev takes part in session of Tatarstan State Council

On November 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and members of Tatarstan Government took part in the 4th session of Tatarstan State Council of the 5th convocation.

The presidium introduced 41 issues for consideration, including 23 draft bills of the Republic of Tatarstan. Ten draft bills will be considered in the first reading, nine- in the second.

The bill on budget of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2015 and planned period of 2016 and 2017 will be the main issue on the agenda. Personnel issues were also discussed at the session.

In particular, powers of Chairman of Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tatarstan Viktor Demidov will be terminated on November 30 in connection with expiration of their term stipulated by legislation (10 years). Such decision was made by Tatarstan State Council today.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Viktor Demidov for his work and handed a Letter of gratitude.

Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin said that the candidacy of new Head of the Constitutional Court will be considered by the parliament in December.

Besides, Tatyana Larionova was appointed Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan State Council. “I am sure that Tatyana Petrovna will take the work of the regional fund to a new higher level,” Farid Mukhametshin said.

Tatyana Larionova thanked deputies for given trust.

Tatyana Petrovna Larionova graduated from Kazan State University, held positions in party bodies and Kazan administration. She was the Head of the Department at Tatarstan Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection for 5 years, and worked at Tatarstan President’s Administrative Office as the Adviser and Aide to Tatarstan President on social issues.

Since 2010, Tatyana Larionova has been the CEO of non-profit organization “Regional foundation of the revival of historical and cultural monuments of the Republic of Tatarstan”.
