Tatarstan’s cooperation with Saxony to be expanded

The Tatarstan Industry and Trade Ministry has hosted a round table meeting, chaired by the deputy minister Gulnara Akhmadeyeva, on the results of the Tatarstan delegation visit to the State of Saxony, said the ministry’s press service.
The representatives from Tatarstan’s companies and associations assessed the visit in practical terms and reported their plans of cooperation with partners in Saxony in the field of machine building.
On November 2-5, the Tatarstan delegation led by the minister Ravil Zaripov visited the Free State of Saxony. The delegation included representatives from larger companies and associations. The visit’s business programme included general events and direct meetings, as well as visits to companies and research organisations in the fields of aircraft, auto making, energy, science and light industry. A total of 60 meetings were held, the Tatarstan delegation toured about 30 companies and associations.
The today’s round table said the visit to Saxony had been effective and presented their cooperation plans. In particular, representatives from KINAT, Academy of Sciences, KAPO, YelAZ and KGTU made related reports.
“We visited ten companies in Saxony and we can cooperate with any of them, there are prospects and there is an interest. We are not only talking about importing equipment, spares and technologies, but about export from Tatarstan,” noted the KNIAT Ildus Zakirov.
The KAPO imeni Gorbunova deputy technical director Nahil Gainullin noted: “We searched for alternative spare part and aircraft equipment manufacturers for a long time. In Saxony, the proposals made by some companies were of interest to us. The company has an interest in foundry as well.”
The Dialog Consulting general director Dmitry Yevdokimov told the round table meeting about the course of development of a business plan on establishing a German-Russian Machine Building and Production Equipment Competence Centre in Tatarstan. The Tatarstan Industry and Trade Ministry jointly with the Saxony Economy and Labour Ministry and the Fraunhofer Institute of Tools and Pressure Treatment are implementing a project on setting up a German-Russian centre of advanced production technologies development in the field of aircraft and machine building. The Fraunhofer Institute of Tools and Pressure Treatment, Saxony, has been proposed as a model. The technologies and equipment designed by the institute meet the needs of Tatarstan’s machine building plants. Prospectively, the centre will provide services at a regional and federal level. The KGTU grounds are considered as possible premises of the future centre.
On 20 January in the evening Russian President Vladimir Putin called Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and congratulated him with his birthday. During the conversation Vladimir Putin stated that he is happy to hear bright voice of Mintimer (Sharipovich) and wished him good health and all the best.
On 20 January, congratulating Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev with his birthday, the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin wrote in his telegramme: “Being a famous and political leader, you have made a substantial contribution into modern development of Tatarstan and have earned the deep respect and gratitude of residents of the republic.
On January 20, the First President of Tatarstan, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev celebrates its 89 birthday.
He received numerous congratulations from the state and regional leaders, public figures, figures in science, education and culture and residents of the country and Tatarstan.
On 16 October in the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaymiev, who is also the Chairman of the Trustees Council of the regional Revival Fund, had a meeting with the Director General of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky, who came to Kazan to take part in a ceremony of opening a new exposition “The Yusupovs. Luxury across the Centuries” at the Hermitage Kazan Exposition Center and which has been prepared especially for the 20th anniversary of the Hermitage’s first representational centre established in 2005 by celebrations of the Kazan Millennium.
