Iran delegation completes inspection of Kazan Helicopters

The delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran has conducted an intermediary inspection of the two contracted helicopters Mi-17B-5. The delegation also discussed issues pertaining to further cooperation with Kazan Helicopter Plant.

In July 2008, Kazan Helicopters signed a contract for supply of two cargo versions of the Mi-17B-5 helicopter to the Iran Energy Ministry (Tavanir company). The contract took effect in January, the helicopters were put in production, delivery is planned for April 2010.

The KHP’ s deputy general director for foreign economic relations Valery Pashko told Tatar-inform the inspection had been successful, the guests had been pleased with the results.

The Iran delegation met the plant’s top management, where they discussed “the possibility of signing in the future contracts for supply of spare parts and providing extra services by the KHP”. The signing of contracts is scheduled to take place in the near future.
