Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has held a meeting with Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev

RF Prime Minister Vladimir Putin had a meeting with RT President Mintimer Shaimiev held on November 17 as part of his working visit to Tatarstan. The meeting took place in at Nizhnekamskneftekhim Nizhnekamsk.

Vladimir Putin said that in spite of the world crisis Tatarstan was implementing large-scale investment projects, which was a good sign. Such complexes as TANECO are new jobs and new products. “But we must not stop, we should raise the standard,” the RF Prime Minister declared.

The Tatarstan President remarked at the meeting that due to anti-crisis measures adopted by the RF Government they managed to avoid the social crisis. KAMAZ received a government order during the difficult period. The programme of social works had been created and proved to be needed.
