Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Mr. Guy Trouveroy, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belgium, at the Kazan Kremlin on November 16.
Mr. Guy Trouveroy took office this year and presented his credentials to Russian President Dmitri Medvedev on October 12. The Ambassador’s visit to the Republic of Tatarstan is the first on the agenda of visits to Russian regions. He is accompanied by a Belgian trade mission.
The Belgium side was represented by Arkadi Arianoff, the General Manager of the Belgium Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for Russia and Belarus, Michael de Bruyn, the Central and Eastern Europe Regional Director of Schreder, Julia Chernova, the Director of Atoz Tax Advisers, and Jean Doerner, the Representative of Rus-Lux-Consult S.A. From the Tatarstan side present at the meeting were Timur Akulov, the Director of Foreign Affairs Department – State Advisor to the RT President on international issues, Ravil Zaripov, the RT Minister of Industry and Trade, Shamil Ageyev, the Chairman of the Board of the Tatarstan Chamber of Trade and Industry, Myakzyum Salakhov, the Rector of Kazan State University, Radik Vakhitov, the Representative of RF Foreign Affairs Ministry in Kazan, also were present at the meeting.
