Tatarstan and Astrakhan regions ministers hold meeting

The delegation of the Astrakhan region government has arrived on a two-day working visit to Tatarstan. The purpose of the trip is to explore Tatarstan’s experience in state regulation of investment activity and stimulating research and development, said the Economy Ministry’s press service.

The Tatarstan Economy Minister Marat Safiullin has met with the Deputy head of Astrakhan government, Economic Development Minister Askar Kabikeyev. Marat Safiullin shared the experience of managing Tatarstan’s economy and demonstrated the application of advanced information technologies used by the Economy Ministry staff. Askar Kabikeyev said he intended to explore the Economy Ministry’s practice of using the technologies and the electronic document management system, to later implement them in the Astrakhan region. During the conversation, he displayed an interest in the Electronic Trade and Information System and Electronic Government resources.

During the visit, the guests from Astrakhan intend to tour the special economic zone Alabuga, technology park Idea, Industry and Trade Ministry, Agency for Government Contracts and to hold some direct meetings with official in charge of devising basic concepts of Tatarstan’s investment and innovative policies.
