River transport appears in Kazan

Kazan will have city river transport, which routes are planned to be arranged along the Kazanka river, the Kazan River Passenger Agency told Tatar-inform.

The city river transport project is designed within the Universiade 2013 event.

The river itineraries will help somewhat lessen the heavy motor traffic. The city river transport’s other advantage is its close relation to suburban travelling.

The initiative to use river transport on the Kazanka was proposed by the river transport agency. The proposal is being examined. The Kazan River Passenger Agency said it would like to get support from the city’s Executive Committee.
