Sport ministers of Russian regions to gather in Kazan

Sport executive from all regions of the Russian Federation will participate in the first national-wide sports forum ‘Russia - Country of Sports’, which is to take place in Kazan on October 22-25.

Governors of 12 Russian regions, among whom are Moscow Region Governor Boris Gromov, St. Petersburg Governor Valentina Matvienko, Bryansk Region Governor Nikolai Demin, and Smolensk Region Governor Sergei Antufyev, etc., have confirmed their participation in the forum. Other regions of the Russian Federation will be represented by senior officials in charge of sports, the RT Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism reports.

As part of the forum, heads of regional sport department will inspect sport facilities including the Central Stadium, FC Rubin boarding sport-school, Ak Bars Single Combats Palace, Universiade Village and the Tennis Academy.

The key event of the forum will be the All-Russia seminar-meeting of heads of executive bodies in physical culture and sport held as part of the sport forum. Tatarstan Minister of Youth, Sport and Tourism Marat Bariev will also take part in it.
