The participants of the "Lisbon - Donghae" record transcontinental auto race visited Kazan. The organizer of the record road race across the entire Eurasian continent is the "Volkswagen" company, and the main participant of this event is the well-known traveler Rainer Tsitlou. The route consists of two parts: the rally from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean and the car race from the Tierra del Fuego archipelago to Alaska.

The total route length is over 40 000 kilometers. Tsitlou and his team will drive past the two longest highways in the world - Russia's Amur transcontinental highway and the "Panamericana" highway. It is planned that the car will be fueled only with gas and will not use a single drop of petrol in the course of the route.

The route was started on the 5th of October in Lisbon and its first leg will be completed in the South Korean Donghae in the beginning of November.
