Kazan have a chance to host “Russia – Sport Power” forum on a regular basis

Kazan might host All-Russia forum “Russia – Sport Power” on a regular basis. Russia Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy Vitaly Mutko expressed this wish at a meeting of the forum organizing committee in Moscow.

A meeting of “Russia – Sport Power” forum organizing committee took place Wednesday in Moscow under chairmanship of the Russian Government Vice-Premier Alexander Zhukov. The following officials made reports concerning preparation for this large-scale event in Kazan: Russia Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy Vitaly Mutko, his deputy Natalia Parshikova, Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, and RT Minister of Youth, Sport and Tourism Marat Bariev. According to M. Bariev’s words, official and sport programmes of the event were approved by the committee members. Presidents of eight leading international federation in Olympic sports confirmed their participation in the forum.

The committee chairman Alexander Zhukov noted that the forum’s future depended on how the first “Russia – Sport Power” event in Russia would be organized. President of Russia and Eurasia Shooting Confederation Vladimir Lisin pointed out necessity of showing other regions that the republic deserved this honour due to its attitude to sport, press-service of Tatarstan Ministry of Youth, Tourism and Sport informed.
