Kazan Helicopter Plant prepares for Mil’s centenary celebrations

November 22 is Mikhail Mil’s centenary day. He was an outstanding man, Doctor of Engineering, developer of famous helicopters.

RT Government supported the initiative of Kazan Helicopter Plant on the organisation of celebrations, devoted to the centenary of famous constructor.

A range of events, devoted to Mil’s 100 years jubilee, are planned to be held till the end of November. A meeting and a solemn unveiling of the memorial sign in honour of naming former Malo-Moskovskaya Street, situated in the Kirov district, after Mikhail Mil, will take place on November 25.

Theoretical and practical conference “Mil’s Heritage is Directed Towards Future”, gathering all the representatives of aviation industry, scientists, constructors, development engineers, producers and operators of helicopter engineering, will start at Korston on 26th November.

Let us remember, that JSC Kazan Helicopter Plant produces helicopters of Mi-8, Mi-17 and Ansat series.

Secure Russian helicopters, manufactured in Kazan, have already amassed 50 mln flight hours all over the world. More than 12 thousand of Mi-4, Mi-8, Mi-14, Mi-17 and Ansat helicopters and their modifications are supplied to almost 100 countries.
