Mintimer Shaimiev congratulates KAMAZ-Master on victory in Silk Road rally

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev sent a congratulation telegram for the name of JSC KAMAZ Director General Sergei Kogogin and “Silk Road” project head, KAMAZ-Master team leader Semyon Yakubov.

“Silk Road” rally started on September 5 in Kazan and finished last Sunday September 13 in Ashgabat. KAMAZ-Master team’s crew led by Firdaus Kabirov took the first place among trucks.

The congratulation telegram states:

“On behalf of Tatarstan people and on my own behalf, I congratulate you, Firdaus Kabirov’s crew and all members of KAMAZ-Master team on excellent victory in the international rally-raid “Silk Road-2009”, which took a start in our republic’s capital.

The new rally-marathon “Silk Road” took place at the high organization in conformity with an international sport event standards. It has a chance to become one of the most prestigious races in the world. I am convinced that this outstanding project is an achievement of the republican sportsmen; Firdaus Kabirov’s crew victory approves high skills in off-road racing sport.

Thank you to all of you for solidarity, selflessness and devotion to the affair, results of which present our country. We wish our famous racers good health and happiness, new achievements and further triumphal participation in the world motor rallies.”
