Issues related to the development of intellectual information-oriented society are discussed in Kazan

September 10, the VII International theoretical and practical Conference "Infocommunicational Technologies of Global Information-oriented Society" started in Kazan.

The conference is a first-rate annual event in the field of Informatisation and communications. It is held on the initiative of the RT Ministry of Informatisation and Communications with the support of the RT Government and the International Academy of Communications.

More than 400 experts for informational technologies, representing RF and RT authorities; representatives of international and Russian companies, young scientists and scientific workers of higher school, experts in the field of informational systems and technologies from subjects of Russian Federation and foreign countries annually become participants of the conference.

The conference is inspired with active development of IT-branch in the Republic of Tatarstan.

This can be proved by successful realization of the Republic’s special-purpose program "Development and Application of Information and Communication Technologies in the Republic of Tatarstan ("E-Tatarstan" 2005-2010)", as well as such projects as "E-Government", "Development of digital TV- and radio-broadcasting", creation and development of ICT- cluster and IT-park in the field of high technologies. Modern ICT- technologies are introduced in the educational process.

RT Ministry of Informatisation and Communications plans to elaborate a new long-term Strategy of RT’s Informatisation and communications development "Intellectual Tatarstan 2010-2020 I-Tatarstan". According to Farit Fazylzyanov, the Head of the Ministry, the strategy is based on four main ideas: innovation, infrastructure, integration and intellect.

The work of the conference is divided into 4 sections: "i-ICT. Infocommunicational technologies as the instrument of competitiveness of intellectual society"; "i-Government. i-Government as the vector of effective intellectual society formation"; "i-Learning. Intellectual education as the base of leadership", "i-Security. Informational security as an essential element of state security".

A specialized Interregional Exhibition "Infocommunicative Technologies" takes place within the scope of the Conference. It presents the latest developments of Russian and international companies, such as Microsoft, Intel, Hewlett-Packard, CISCO Systems, ICL, Centre, Tattelecom, Rostelecom, Teleset, Taksnet, Tatarstan Pochtasy, Mobilnye telesistemy, Volgatelecom and others.

"Samsung Electronics Rus Company" presented 3D-television together with RF Ministry of Industry and Trade and Moscow Television Research Institute (MTRI). The system can serve for experimental stereoscopic 3D digital broadcasting of the Universiade-2013 in Kazan and "Sochi-2014" Olympiad.
