Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev approved the idea. The purpose of the rally is to show the world our countries with their cultural-historical values, modern economy and scientific-technical progress and consolidation of good-neighborly relations between the nations that used to live under one state in the past.

Russian side is represented in organization of the sport project by KAMAZ-Master team. The Silk Road rally is likely to become a remarkable motor sport event. The rally participants will follow an interesting route – lack of roads, steppes, sandy dunes and alkaline lands.
