Public jobs created in Tatarstan’s transport industry

JSC Aviacompania Tatarstan and Kazan branch of Gorky State Railways held working meetings on issues related to employment. The events were initiated by the Tatarstan Transport and Road Facilities Ministry, the ministry’s press service reports.

In a discussion regarding creation of public jobs and job retraining for personnel running the risk of being made redundant took part RT deputies minister of transport and road facilities of Alexander Tygin and Azat Galiakhmetov, as well as heads and representatives from companies’s financial and personnel departments.

As of August 1, Aviacompania transferred 437 people to a short working week, 130 jobs are to be vacated before the year’s end. The Kazan branch of Gorky State Railways has since the top of the year transferred 2.5 thousand people to a short working week. 2.4 thousand people have been sent on leave without pay.

As a result of negotiations with the Kazan branch of Gorky State Railways an agreement was reached for the railway workers to conclude an agreement for 500 public jobs. The Aviacompania Tatarstan firm has been given the task to create as many public jobs as possible for personnel transferred to a short working week or on administrative leave.
