Tatarstan Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources meets with UNIDO delegates

Tatarstan Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources Aglyam Sadretdinov has met with the Centre for Industrial Development Organisation in Russia director Sergei Korotkov. The parties discussed prospective areas for cooperation between Tatarstan and UNIDO in the field of environmental protection and energy and resource saving, ministry’s public relations officer Gulnaz Satieva told Tatar-inform.

“Prospective application of biogas technologies in Tatarstan is greatly significant in terms of serious improvement of the quality of the environment and energy and resource saving. The ministry has developed and presented proposals on the content and structure of a project called Development Concept of Bio Technology and Bio Energy in Tatarstan in 2010-2020,” noted Aglyam Sadretdinov at a round table meeting. The proposals include developing and implementing bio gas pilot projects at larger animal breeding farms and the Samosyrovo disposal site, to be recultivated.
