Citizens of Naberezhnyje Chelny ready for a "Guinness" record

On August 4 and 5, the city of Naberezhnyje Chelny is to host a massive baton relay race in support of Kazan's Universiade-2013. For 24 hours, citizens, including heads of enterprizes and their employees, veterans of sports and sports families, will be running and passing the baton-stick, to be included into Guinness book of records as 24 hours long 100 meter baton relay race with highest participation. The project will be kick-started by Gulnara Galkina-Samitova, Beijing Olympic champion in 3000 meters "steeplechase" obstacle race.
