Fourth heat source project discussed in Kazan

The Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roustam Minnikhanov and PvT Capital, Germany, have discussed the construction of the fourth thermal and electric energy source in Kazan.

The investment project of SGT-600 gas turbine station by Siemens for Kazan was earlier discussed on 28 May. The tentative area for construction is a territory near the Republican Clinical Hospital, Solnechny Gorod residential district and the Universiade 2013 future village.

The Pvt Capital, potential investor, today reported to the Tatar prime minister on what has been done within advanced planning, including choice of equipment and negotiations with future partners. According to the schedule, the construction is to take 25 months from start to completion.

The Tatarstan Premier suggested all the involved departments took the work on preliminary stages responsibly. The future ground needs an infrastructure, the land allocation issue should be regulated, and limits of gas and water, to be used by the gas turbine station, defined. The project has to be approved by several authorities, including federal.

Attendees at the meeting were the Tatarstan Construction, Architecture and Housing Minister Marat Khusnoullin, Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt chief Irek Faizullin, representatives from the Kazan Mayor’s Office, head of the department of construction, transport, communication and housing at the Cabinet of Ministers executive office Ildar Sibgatullin and others, reports the Cabinet of Ministers’ press service.
