‘Creation of Peace’ to take place in Kazan on June 27

Head of Kazan executive committee’s Directorate for festive events programmes Igor Sivov made a report on preparation for the 2nd international musical festival “Creation of Peace” at Kazan Mayor’s Office.

According to his words, on June 27 – the Day of Youth, the 2nd international musical festival “Creation of Peace" will be held on the Millennium Square. The festival hosts will be Ksenia Strizh and Seva Novgorodtsev. Students of Kazan rock-music school ‘The Road’ will open the festival.

The following legendary rock-bands, popular musicians, representatives of 14 countries participate in the festival: ‘Fun-Da’Mental’ (England-Pakistan-India), ‘Vopli Vodoplyasova’ (Ukraine), ‘The Rifles’ (England), Nino Katamadze and ‘Insight’ (Georgia), ‘Kultur Shock’ (U.S.-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Bolgaria), Boris Kavach and ‘La Campanella’ (Serbia), ‘Darko Rundek Trio’ (Croatia), ‘Treya’ (Belarus), ‘DDT’ (Saint Petersburg), ‘Mumiy Troll’ (Vladivostok), ‘Manu Chao’ (France-Spain). Particular attention will be drawn to the local Kazan artists (8 bands): ‘Murakami’, ‘Mubai’, ‘Obereg’, ‘J. People’, ‘Khool Jingel’, ‘Medvezhiy Ugol’, ‘Pulse of Reason’, and ‘The Road’ rock-school (Kazan).

According to Igor Sivov words, the final accord of the festival will be a joint performance of different genres, cultures, religions representatives and fireworks.

Igor Sivov reminded that the first international festival of live music took place in Kazan on August 30, 2008 on the Day of the Republic and Kazan city. There were many favourable reports about the festival both in Russia and abroad.
