Tatarstan implements social programme with Pension Fund money

Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has signed a resolution of the Tatarstan Government on implementation of the social programme with subsidies from the Russian Federation Pension Fund in Tatarstan in 2009.

The purpose of the programme is to improve the quality of living for unemployed pensioners, including those residing at stationary social care institutions.

The total funding is 124,977.6 thousand roubles, of which 48 million roubles are subsidies from the Russian Pension Fund.

The additional resources, allocated by the Pension Fund, are to be used in capital repairs of the 102-bed Fyodorov Specialised Boarding House state-run public institution for aged and invalid citizens supervised by Tatarstan’s Labour, Employment and Social Security Ministry, and in the reconstruction of the 100-bed Kazan Orphanage for Aged and Invalid People.

The programme is to allow improve the quality of living at stationary institutions for 202 unemployed pensioners and for 23 thousand unemployed pensioners in Tatarstan through target social aid, said the labour ministry’s press service.
