Kazan needs over 1000 specialists with good command of English by Universiade-2013

Admission limit to budgetary places at Tatarstan universities will be increased for some specialties in order to train 1152 specialists for the Universiade-2013 in Kazan. Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Education and Science Andrei Pominov informed about it at a press-conference at Tatmedia agency on June 19.

According to the deputy minister, specialists with a number of competences required for working at a large-scale sport forum are needed to serve the Universiade-2013. The number of students specializing in hotel and restaurant business, water supply, water drainage, technical facilities exploitation, physical culture and sport, choreography, cinema and TV directing, tourism will be increased.

One more field of preparation for the Universiade-2013 is training coaches. Last year hockey coaches, instructors of basketball and football took re-training courses as a part of ‘Algarysh’ programme.
