Taneko project said to be world's most complex

The US corporation Fluor Energy and Chemical Products’s chief Peter Osterweer has named the Taneko oil refining and petrochemical project in Tatarstan’s Nizhnekamsk the most complex one he had worked on.

The Taneko’s press service quotes his words during the recent visit to Nizhnekamsk of the Fluor delegation. Fluor under a contract with the Tatarstan’s key oil producer Tatneft manages the project. “The distinction of this project is the size of the complex itself, it is the most complex in the world and quite a few parties are interested in the implementation.”

Mr Osterweer went on to say the Fluor executives were content with the cooperation with Tatneft and Taneko, and expressed confidence that the construction would be completed as scheduled.

A Fluor new office building was opened during the visit. The new modular office, designed for 230 workplaces, has been constructed for the corporation’s employees with the purpose of centralised placement of staff working on the project. A meeting with the participation of Tatneft first deputy general director Nahil Maganov took place here.
