Tatarstan presents inbound tourism project in Moscow

The 7th Congress of Russian Youth Union, assembling over 180 delegates from Russian provinces, has taken place in Moscow.

Tatarstan was represented by members of the youth organisations council, led by the deputy chairman Rufia Mukhamadeeva. The delegation presented a programme called Inbound Tourism, aimed to increase the flow of tourists from Russian and CIS regions.

The project developers propose to younger people from across Russia to visit Kazan, to explore the Tatarstan’s capital’s culture. The cost of a three-day trip, slightly over 3.5 thousand roubles, includes meals and accommodation, as well as five guided tours of Kazan, including the Kremlin, Raifa Monastery, a night excursion around the city and the pedestrian downtown tour.

The presentation of the project at the congress, said the young delegates, has confirmed its relevance for younger people, reports the Tatarstan’s Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism Ministry’s press service. The project will continue to be developed in the entire Tatarstan.

The congress included plenary sessions, meetings at the territorial groups. Attendees were the deputy minister of sports, tourism and youth policy Oleg Rozhnov, Federation Council’s chairman of the commission on youth and tourism Vladimir Zhidkikh and other authority officials. The State Duma’s chairman Boris Gryzlov, Federation Council’s chairman Sergei Mironov and Sports, tourism and Youth Policy Minister Vitaly Mutko sent their welcome remarks to the congress.

The congress’s major event was re-election of the chairman Andrey Platonov.
