Festival of Korean Culture opened in Kazan

The solemn opening ceremony of the Festival of Korean Culture took place in Kazan on June 6 at G.Kamal Tatar State academy Theatre. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea Lee Kyu Hyung arrived in Kazan on this occasion.

Lee Kyu Hyung greeted the festival guests and said that it was a pleasure for him to be in Kazan – the city with rich history, the city where outstanding figures of the world culture used to live. “Russian and Korean nations are united by love and respect to culture,” he said.

Masters of the republic of Kores State academy of Traditional Music and Dancing performed at G.Kamal Theatre that night. Korea’s representative also brought cinema to Kazan – four films to be demonstrated at ‘Organik’ cinema theatre.
