Farid Moukhametshin meets with director of TURKSOI

Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Moukhametshin held a meeting with director general of the International organization TURKSOY Dusen Kaseinov on June 4.

At the meeting Tatarstan parliament speaker pointed out a considerable role of TURKSOY in development of regional cooperation between the countries and nations united under the national ground.

For instance, the IX-th International Theatre Festival of Turkic Nations ‘Nauruz’ contributes not only to consolidation of inter-theatre contacts, but also to integration of Turkic national theatres into a global theatrical process.

Possibilities of extending TURKSOY participants, plans of further cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and TURKSOY for the near future were discussed at the meeting, the press-service of the parliament informs.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture Zilya Valeeva, chairman of the State Council’s Committee for Culture, Science, Education and National Affairs Razil Valeev took part in the meeting.
