Tatarstan parliament speaker takes part in opening of Tatar backyard in Orenburg

Opening of the Tatar backyard in the inter-ethnic cultural complex ‘National Village’ was held on June 2 as part of the Days of Tatar Culture in the Orenburg oblast. Orenburg Province Governor Alexei Chernyshev and Tatarstan State Council Chairman, head of Tatarstan Assembly of Nations Farid Mukhametshin attended the ceremony.

The National Village is a park-museum where Russian, Tatar, Ukrainian, Kazakh, Bashkir, Mordovian, Chuvash, Belorus, Armenian and German national backyards are presented.

Hundreds of Tatars all over the oblast gathered on Tuesday to attend the holiday of Tatar culture. A choreography team performed Russian, Tatar, Kazakh, Bashkir, and Ukrainian dances before the opening ceremony.
