Tatarstan Prime Minister holds meeting with a delegation of Schneider Electric

Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with a delegation of Schneider Electric on June 3. The meeting took place at the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers. RT Minister of Economy Marat Safiullin attended the meeting.

Rustam Minnikhanov opened the meeting and greeted the guests. “We are happy to have an opportunity to receive the delegation of Schneider Electric,” he said. “We implement a lot of high-tech projects. The coming of the company known world-wide is of importance for us. Your company is extensively implementing high technologies in the republic.”

Tatarstan Minister of Economy Marat Safiullin made a presentation of the republic’s economic potential for the delegation.

Schneider Electric Concern is a global company in management and distribution of electricity, which provides comprehensive solutions for the market’s key sectors: civil and housing construction, industry, power-engineering and infrastructure.

Tatarstan Government, OAO Tatenergo and Schneider Electric signed a memorandum on cooperation at the end of 2006. In July 2008, the opening of the first stage of Schneider Electric Equipment Kazan plant took place with participation of the Tatarstan President.

The largest training centre “KSPU - Schneider Electric – Tatenergo” equipped with modern Schneider Electric facilities opened at Kazan State Power-Engineering University in July 2008. The centre targets students majoring in energy industry and re-training and advanced training of specialists of Tatarstan and neighboring regions’ companies and organizations.

The Schneider Electric opened its office in Nizhnekamsk in the beginning of 2009 with the purpose to maintain projects of the region’s oil-refining plants complex.
