KAPO manufacturer to join United Aircraft Corporation in summer

The KAPO imeni Gorbunova aircraft manufacturer will during this summer complete the procedure of joining the United Aircraft Corporation, told journalists the UAC’s president Alexei Fyodorov after ceremonial delivery of the first two Tu-214 vehicles in Kazan.

Attendees at the ceremony were the Tatarstan Prime Minister Roustam Minnikhanov, KAPO’s General Director Vasil Kayumov, UAC’s President Alexei Fyodorov, Tupolev’s President Igor Shevchuk and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs’s head Alexander Shokhin.

Mr Fyodorov noted that the UAC was completing the issuance procedure. “Over the summer, KAPO Gorbunova is to become a full-fledged member of the UAC and one of its key plants,” he pledged.
