British experts could help raise awareness of Tatarstan abroad

The Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roustam Minnikhanov, UK’s House of Lords member Ahmet Nazir and the British Institute of Technology and Ecommerce’s Director Muhammad Ali Farmer have today discussed issues related to cooperation between Tatarstan’s higher schools and the BITE.

The BITE has operated since 2000 and has partners in ten countries across the world. The BITE provides education in the field of innovation and investment economics, tourism, information technologies, as well as consulting services for top management of large corporations and to the governments of the United Arab Emirates, India, Pakistan and Malaysia.

According to the aide to the Tatarstan prime minister on foreign economic relations Iskander Muflikhanov, the BITE had displayed willingness to assist Tatarstan in improving its recognition in the world, launching special educational programmes on various subjects for Tatartsan’s civil servants, and in organising exchange of practices.

Attendees at the meeting were the Tatarstan Economy Minister Marat Safiullin and Tatarstan Education and Science Minister Albert Gilmutdinov.

The BITE delegation is on a three-day working visit to Kazan. The programme includes meetings at the Agency for Public Contracting, Information Technologies Centre, as well as meetings with the Kazan State Technical University, Kazan State Technology University, and Russian Islamic University’s rectors, reports the Cabinet of Ministers’s press service.
