Russian Muslim Youth Festival is to take place in Tatarstan

Tatarstan will host the 3rd Russian Muslim youth festival. The festival is organized by the RT Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism, the Directorate for religious affairs under the RT Cabinet of Ministers, the RT Muslims’ Religious Board, Russian Islamic University, the RF Federal National and Cultural Autonomy of Tatars, the Youth centre Idel.

The festival is to unite Muslim youth of Russian regions and from abroad and establish cooperation for elaborating joint decisions of issues important for young Muslims. Among the working tasks of the festival are to support and provide help to Muslim organizations and exchange experience.

On January 20, the First President of Tatarstan, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev celebrates its 89 birthday. He received numerous congratulations from the state and regional leaders, public figures, figures in science, education and culture and residents of the country and Tatarstan.

Mintimer Shaimiev meets Mikhail Piotrovsky

On 16 October in the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaymiev, who is also the Chairman of the Trustees Council of the regional Revival Fund, had a meeting with the Director General of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky, who came to Kazan to take part in a ceremony of opening a new exposition “The Yusupovs. Luxury across the Centuries” at the Hermitage Kazan Exposition Center and which has been prepared especially for the 20th anniversary of the Hermitage’s first representational centre established in 2005 by celebrations of the Kazan Millennium.
