Kazan Helicopter Plant signs contract with Japanese company

General manager of Mazak company (Yamazaki Mazak Trading Corporation, Japany) Nobuharu Yamaguchi visited Kazan Helicopter Plant at the end of March.
The firm Mazak is a world-wide known producer of multi-task machines with digital control.
The purpose of the visit of Japanese guests to Kazan is continuation of collaboration in supply of highly productive Mazak equipment. A contract with Mazak company was signed as a part of the modernization programme at the helicopter plant with the purpose to increase production tempos. The strategic task of the plant is to increase output in 2009 by at least 25 percent.
Several metal-working machines have been implemented at Kazan Helicopter Plant so far. They provide an opportunity to produce high-quality details of elaborate design with digital control of quality round-the-clock and contribute less time .
The general plan of modernization covers several years and stipulates setting a whole line of machines accomplishing almost full production cycle – from input of metal to ready components and assemblies at one workshop.
Cooperation of OAO Kazan Helicopter Plant and Yamazaki Mazak Trading Corporation bids fair to become one of the largest in Tatarstan, because the scale of planned modernization of the helicopter plant production presupposes purchase of two more consignments.
On 17 March, speaking at a meeting of the State Council of the republic, where its Chairman Farid Mukhametshin declared his early termination of powers, Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaymiev said: “Mutual respect and deep understanding help to preserve high trust of our people.”
On 13 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev accompanied by the regional Mufti Kamil Samigullin took part in the XIV Iftar of the republic organized by the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Tatarstan, the administration of the Ak Bars Arena stadium and the national tourist complex Tugan Avylym (My Native Village) at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center.
On 20 January in the evening Russian President Vladimir Putin called Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and congratulated him with his birthday. During the conversation Vladimir Putin stated that he is happy to hear bright voice of Mintimer (Sharipovich) and wished him good health and all the best.
On 20 January, congratulating Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev with his birthday, the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin wrote in his telegramme: “Being a famous and political leader, you have made a substantial contribution into modern development of Tatarstan and have earned the deep respect and gratitude of residents of the republic.
